Raid Update | CEAT Ltd. – Major Counterfeit Seizure in Haryana
A major enforcement action was recently undertaken by PRIME IPR in Haryana for our client CEAT Ltd., one of India’s most reputed tyre manufacturers. The raid led to the seizure of a large volume of counterfeit CEAT tubes and packaging materials.
During the raid, thousands of fake products were discovered, including items deceptively branded as “CEAT” and a confusingly similar mark “CEAT.” These products were being illegally manufactured and circulated in the local market, putting consumers and the brand at significant risk.
The infringing goods included duplicate tyre tubes, printed packaging, raw materials, and tools used to replicate CEAT’s well-known trade dress and trademarks. The counterfeiters were actively trying to mislead buyers by mimicking the original brand in appearance and quality.
This action was part of CEAT’s larger brand protection strategy and highlights PRIME IPR’s ongoing commitment to trademark enforcement and anti-counterfeiting litigation across India.
